Service:We give BUE authority as our exclusive bidding agent to obtain bids on our behalf for the accounts listed above from 3rd Party energy suppliers. We authorize BUE to act as our agent for the sole purpose of granting like authorization to 3rd party electric and natural gas suppliers to receive data directly from our utility company.
Our Rights and Obligations: We are under no obligation to choose a supplier. If we do not choose a supplier during the initial bid process, BUE will continue pursuing favorable energy rates on our behalf for the term of this authorization. We agree not to work directly with an energy supplier without allowing BUE to protect its interest in the transaction. We will direct all offers, communications and correspondence from suppliers to BUE. We agree not to use BUE's work product or services to negotiate independently with suppliers.
Confidentiality:BUE shall maintain our account information in strict confidence.
Miscellaneous: (a.) This authorization shall be effective from the date of signing forward for of a period of six (6) months, the 6 months commencing from the later of the date of this agreement or the termination of our current supply agreement. If we sign with a supplier, this authorization shall remain effective during the term of the supply agreement and for 6 months thereafter to ensure that BUE verifies compliance by the supplier; (b.) We will not be responsible for any direct payment to BUE for services rendered and BUE will not invoice us. All fees are included in the energy price we pay to our supplier (there is no separate payment or fee). All suppliers agree in advance to the same fee to ensure no conflict of interest and no preference of supplier by BUE; (c.) BUE shall act as an independent contractor; (d.) BUE is authorized to obtain our account and other information from our current supplier; (e.) BUE is NOT our energy provider. Our contract with our chosen supplier provides the terms, conditions and pricing of our commodity service. (f) BUE is authorized to obtain a copy of our counter-signed supplier agreement from the supplier signed through BUE.
